The Actor’s Mission: An Upfront Dialogue On The Actor’s Role In Art…

Transcript Of This Recording:

“We have all heard the saying ‘There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.’

But is there?

Or is there just a big tunnel containing a series of events that asks us to try to cope with random or, for my spiritual folk, karmic circumstances to the best of our ability.

And though we want to believe that there will be some favorable outcome, the truth is that we don’t always get what we want.

We don’t always get what we need.

Sometimes Life happens and it can be pretty crummy.

Sometimes Life happens and it’s just heartbreaking.

Sometimes Life happens and it is unbearable.

And yet all the ironic financially stable gurus who are published by the finest publishers sell their theories of this or that new age trend.

Oh yeah….”and that through our suffering, we find the path to enlightenment”.

Am I guilty of that?

Probably.

Actually, yes I am.

Oh God, I just ate a piece of humble pie.

I have been known to try to alchemize reality to somehow see a silver lining…

To convince myself and others that there is some transformative code and within that magical transmutation of difficult circumstances, there is a remedy for the common good.

And sometimes there is.

Sometimes people make it through the most heinous of circumstances, and are blessed with a very special knowledge to help the collective achieve the transformation it is seeking.

But sometimes there is not.

And that is a hard pill to swallow, isn’t it?

Sometimes we see and/or are given information that we don’t want to see or know.

And sometimes we just need to get real about the state of things.

Life is not always a fairytale and 99% of the roles we will ever play will be about an individual doing all he or she can to improve his or her circumstances.

This is a fact of the human condition that we, as artists, must be open and willing to reveal about the struggles of the human experience which unfortunately includes human suffering.

Sometimes we need to blow out the candles, snuff out the incense, throw away the sage, chuck the oracle cards at the wall and really look, with our hearts, at tangible reality.

Sometimes the cards people are dealt are nowhere near the full house they had hoped.

Sometimes there is no house at all but a tunnel that echoes thoughts and questions in an earnest quest for Life’s greatest mysteries thus stimulating the creative process to express and hopefully come to terms with the human experience.

The artist must face unanswerable questions to suffering, greed, poverty, war, disease, trauma, lovelessness, abuse, darkness, addiction, evil, and even the newest pan epidemic, ‘narcism’?

Do I have the answers to any of these questions?

Hell no!

Not at all!

What do I know?…

I just work here.

But we have to be willing see the questions because they are there all around.

We have to be aware of them if we genuinely care about the state of humanity.

We cannot be scared to ask and confront these questions because it is the job that we signed up for.

Yet, no matter how much we may try…

No matter how hard we may dig…

We have to be willing to accept that there will always be unanswerable questions.

Life will always be in a state of flux and there will always be suffering somewhere in the world.

And you are probably reading this looking for some statement that illuminates the promised light at the end of the tunnel.

But that is just my point.

Sometimes there just isn’t and we, the artists, have to do our part in revealing the struggles humans go through in order to help bring awareness to these unanswered circumstances.

Otherwise it is just a tunnel and we are walking or even running through not knowing where it leads or what the meaning of all ‘it’ is.

The facts are…

Sometimes we are here with people who are good.

And sometimes we are here with people who are not so good.

Sometimes we are here with people living through compassion.

And sometimes we are here with people living through agenda.

Sometimes we walk with people who use troubling circumstances to help the greater good.

And sometimes we walk with people who choose to bank on it.

Sometimes we walk with trust.

And sometimes we have to walk with cautious discernment.

Sometimes people will walk with us to wherever the tunnel leads.

And sometimes they’ll just fade away.

Sometimes it will bring treasures.

And sometimes it will bring trauma.

Sometimes it will please.

And sometimes it will disappoint.

And within all those circumstances, the answer is…there is no answer.

It is what it is.

We don’t know why but we know it happens.

And while we live in a filtered world, creating the prettiest most perfected selfie, that hides any inkling of a ‘flaw’ sharing our abs and show biz smiles for some validation in the form of ‘likes’ on social media, we are ignoring the fact that we are not OK with what is.

We are not OK with the questions because we don’t want to face the answers.

We’re scared of the answers because we are not OK with anything that threatens the perfect little pretty picture that manufactures an artificial boost of dopamine or serotonin.

In fact, we don’t want to face the answers because we are not even OK with asking the questions anymore.

So we hold onto that theory of a light at the end of the tunnel without paying attention to the chaos that’s begging to be noticed.

We skip the most important step!

We are too busy numbing ourselves with artificial affirmations that prevent us from actually dealing with what is going on here and now.

We HAVE to be willing to face the reality of things, no matter how scary, no matter how unpleasant, no matter how dark.

This is our job as artists.

To see what others are not willing to see.

To face what others are not willing to face.

To step into the trenches and face the human condition, head on, mask free, in all its grit and glory.

Because that is what Life is.

A series of moments defined by grit and glory.

And if we are lucky, sometimes we will find ourselves somewhere in the middle.

I guess it’s just about allowing the questions and being OK with the answers whether they come with favorable or unfavorable echoes of a response…or even not at all.

Whatever the case, I encourage you to walk through this beautifully complicated Life tunnel without any expectations but with awareness and compassion.

Allow yourself the willingness to experience it for what it is in all its authenticity and then be willing to share that beautifully complicated authenticity through your work.”

Art(ists), As Warriors!

Transcript Of Video:

“ ‘Why do I think art is important?’…

Because I think art says what nobody else is willing to say.

I think art speaks loudly in the face of doctrine to say:

‘Just because you are saying this is true, does not necessarly mean it is…’

I think art says:

‘We are not willing to be brainwashed…’

I think art says:

‘Yes, but…’

I think art challenges…

I think art progresses…

I think art looks at reality and sees when something is not working for the best and highest good for us as a collective…

And then it takes that reality and tries to transform it for the better…

And sometimes that means shaking things up…

Yeah, I think artists are some of the bravest people we know…

I think they are warriors…

I think they are the ones that emotionally go to war for mandkind…

I think they are the ones that emotionally…

And even spirtually…

Allow themselves to be a vessel or conduit of change…

A vessel of light for the collective…

‘What is the key component to all artistry?’…

I think compassion…

I think compassion allows us to understand the human condition in a way that does not allow us to judge it…

‘What is the greatest message I have for people?’…

I think it is to know yourSelf…

I think it is really about a discovery of learning who you are…

And really trying to take any kind of obstacles that Life has given you…

And tranform them to serve somehow…

To serve your Self…

To better your Self…

To better who you are…

To better your experience…

But also to help better humanity as a collective…

There is so much suffering in this world…

And we get so lost in greed…

And competition…

And fame…

And fortune…

And power…

But we forget that there is really one thing that matters…

And that is that we are all connected…

We have become so comfortable in our lovelessness…

That Love has come to become an endangered species…

But I think in order to really Love…

You have to understand its opposite sometimes…

You have to understand what Love is not…

You have to understand darkness…

From a primal level…

Because I think only until you are able to understand its opposite…

Can you really appreciate the truth of what Love is…

And then really pursue a mission to do good in the name of Love…

Otherwise it is all smoke and mirrors…

And I think…

We have plenty of that happening…”~#MarioCampanaro ©️

OMG! Where Is The Miracle Breakthrough Already?!

IMG_4274

Have you ever spent time contemplating that age ole question…

Why me?!

It is one of those internal dialogues that secretly plagues each and everyone of us as the rest of the world seems to have their $#*+ together.

Looking out there life seems to be easy and the others seem to be getting ahead.

They all seem to be happy, peaceful, blissful, successful, talented, handsome/pretty, in shape, healthy…

My God…

They have EVERYTHING I want…

They have EVERYTHING I need…

Meanwhile you struggle in silence hoping to have some miraculous breakthrough in that thing that seems to be holding you back from achieving your Life’s grand purpose.

And no matter how hard you try…

No matter how much work you put in…

The miracle breakthrough that you have been searching for never seems to show up.

Every little gain made goes out the window because here you are again in the same place you once thought you overcame.

There is no momentum…

There is no change…

The fight seems fruitless.

You become a sort of prey in the web of crappy circumstances ready to be consumed by Life’s dark vector.

So you wait for it to happen.

You wait for the collapse and the consumption.

You live in anticipation of your demise.

And you wait…

And you wait some more…

And yet nothing comes to destroy you.

You sit in the noise of your own hazardous internal monologue…

Or maybe not…

Maybe you put sound to that thought process and sit in a puddle of your own tears asking again out loud…

Why me?!

And maybe some answers start to come.

Maybe that thing is there to guard you from what may not be good for you.

Maybe that thing is there to protect you from what you may not be ready for.

Maybe that thing is there to not to destroy you but to help you expand and grow.

Maybe that thing is there to awaken you to an internal strength that you may not have known you possess.

Maybe that thing is there as a reminder to forgive.

Maybe that thing is there to enlighten you to a depth of love for others you have yet been able to discover.

Maybe that thing is there to enlighten you to a depth of self love you have yet been able to discover.

Maybe that thing is there to teach you in a visceral way what you are meant to share with the world.

Maybe that thing is not the enemy.

Maybe that thing is the stepping stone to your own victory

Maybe that thing that you feel is holding you back, is the very thing you NEED to be introduced to your own happiness, your own peace, your own bliss, your own success, your own talent, your own beauty, your own health, and your own vitality.

Is it scary?

Oh yeah…it is scary as F(*^!

But no growth has ever come without growing pains.

And if that thing has come into your Life, you have the power to transmute it.

All you can do is continue doing the very best you can with what you have and never lose hope or faith in your own ability to overcome it.

If someone comes to help along the way…HALLELUJAH!

But if not…

Remember…

Each and everyone of us has the power within to transform even the worst of circumstances into our very own blessing that can then be shared with the rest world.

So hold on…

You got this…

It may take some time…

But if you are reading this right now…

You have been blessed with the time to do it.

So keep going!

Change Is Coming…Let Go Of Holding On

42d0fc21-f71e-4ecb-9480-aca5f4cc2061

As I am sure many of you have been experiencing, especially those of you that are highly sensitive, there have been a great deal of energy shifts happening in and around all of us.

The velocity of things is intensifying and the universe is going through a powerful transformation while asking…or I should say…demanding…all of us to also accompany her/him/it on this evolutionary journey.

There is not much of a choice…

It is happening and we have the responsibility to be part of that change…that growth…and that expansion.

If it is happening ‘out there’, it is most definitely happening ‘within’ as we are all connected to the greater part of the creative expansive whole.

Of course, it is very easy for us to get alarmed by these experiences especially if we do not understand what they are.
And yes, there has been an alarming amount of crisis in our world.

However, without sounding trite, in the presence of light, humanity, without fail, is infinitely stronger together than the desperately despicable attempts and actions of darkness.

And it is exactly that light that is calling upon all of us to match its frequency now.
In order for us to match that frequency, many are experiencing growing pains to get there.

Just as we have growing pains from all the transitions of childhood to adulthood, so do we have these similar pains as we shed what no longer serves in order to evolve into our higher collective self.

Very often, as these expansive energy shifts happen, they can cause some intense physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual experiences that may feel like crisis because they quite obviously differ from those in our familiar everyday life.

But they are guiding us to change for our best and highest good.

For the universal good.

A change that aids our soul’s individual mission here on this beautiful planet to help one another get back to the ultimate truth.

Some may feel highly emotional.

Maybe you catch yourself crying or laughing out of the blue without even understanding where it is coming from.

Some may have odd feelings of confusion.

Others may be experiencing agitation, irritability, or even outburst of irrational anger.

There may be those of you that have the feeling of just wanting to impulsively change everything including your job, location, relationships, etc.

Maybe you just want to get away.

There are those that may just do the opposite and want to cling onto everything for dear life.

And then there are those that may even get so triggered by these shifts that they act out in self destructive behavior as a coping mechanism to deal with these changes because they feel it is just too much at one time.

This is an important time individually and universally.

The best piece of advice I can give during these times is to let go of holding on.

I know these times can feel so extremely difficult.

It is especially during these times that we do indeed want to clench onto what feels familiar by believing they serve as some sort of life preserver preventing us from drowning in the unknown.

But sometimes it is our holding onto the familiar that is actually the very thing that is keeping us in the circumstances we are trying to free ourself from in order to expand and grow.

What if the unknown is not the enemy we seem to be defining it as?

What if it is the hallelujah we have been seeking?

What if beyond that wall of our everyday rigid belief system and structure lives the key to our personal and collective healing, to our freedom, and even to the bliss of our true purpose.

To get there, we have to be willing to do the work.
We have to go into the trenches.

We have to be willing to face what is not serving us and LET IT GO to make room for what does.
And we have to have the Strength, Courage, Perseverance, Willingness, Self Trust, Self Nurturing, and Self Love to do this kind of work.

Of course others may be of service but the truth is it is ALL YOU in relationship to your role with the universe.

It can only happen from and through you.

Do yourself the favor and break free from any bondage that is not good to you, for you, and about you.

Then climb over that tall wall no matter how difficult it may be.

Use your blood, sweat, and tears to finally meet your true Self on the other side of what is keeping you from your own personal evolution so you can join in the universal evolution.

Once you get there, I guarantee you will wonder why you held onto all the other stuff as long as you had.

A change for the better is coming.

The universe wants you to be happy, healthy, vibrant, successful, and encompassed by love and compassion.

It is just waiting for you to join in the momentum.

Problems…We All Got ‘Em!

FullSizeRender 6

We live in a day and age of “problems”.

Yes problems!

We all have them and we all want to get rid of them.

And our problems are definitely worse than that guy’s petty issues over there.

On our initial quest to overcoming these roadblocks, we usually search for that quick fix that will make it instantaneously ok.

If that doesn’t work, then “Maybe it is all in your head, my dear. Have you tried Prozac?”.

Frustration builds, muscles tighten, and we start to blame everything and everyone that we know to loosen our own responsibilty of this present Life we are surviving.

So here we are, alone, stuck in a world of dilemma, as if it were the quicksand of our soul.

We suffocate with emotions of discouragement, despair, depression, anxiety, fear, anger, resentment, and unfortunately in many cases, the danger of hopelessness.

Our problems are the bondage that keep us from our greatest potential.

Ugh, how do we get out of this mess?

Let’s face it, Life is a complicated puzzle that requires a dive into the unknown.

Even when one part of the equation is so-called “solved”, another storm comes to shake things up.

We fight for survival.

We fight for stability.

We fight for that idea of what we believe our Life should or at the very least could be.

So now we experience all those moments of frustration and fatigue from the continual process of searching for answers to unanswerable questions.

We taste painful moments of gutteral tears because the desire to live Life’s fullness feels so limited.

Then there is the inexplicable isolation as we get swallowed by our own labyrinth of journeying to salvation.

What is happening? OMG!  How did this happen? WTF?!

Eventually things become so complicated, so terrifying, so chaotic, that finally everything short circuits…

Everything stops.

All of the sudden there is foreign silence.

There is a strange peace.

There is unfamiliar perspective.

We begin to breathe.

We begin to surrender.

We begin to connect to a divine intelligence within us that changes the channel from “Why me?” to “OK, I’m listening.”

Our problems have not shown up in our Life as a punishment.

In fact, it is quite the opposite.

All this time we have spent running from the thing that we have labeled as torture when it has actually been the spark that ignites our transmutation.

When we finally let go, we realize that our problems are a gift of profound transformation.

They require us to ask questions of ourself that we would not normally do so.

They make it possible to release things and relationships that no longer serve our best and highest good.

They strengthen our will.

They deepen our faith.

They ignite our perseverance.

They hold us accountable.

The force us into the NOW.

They plant the seed for creativity which far exceeds what we ever thought possible.

They open us mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The truth of the matter is that the real miracle of all our obstacles is that they leads us to a journey home.

They stimulate the journey of self love.

They make us warriors for our own well being.

They turn us into seekers of truth and authenticity.

When we are truly able to connect with and trust that place within ourself, things start shifting.

All of the sudden the answers start showing up easily and accurately .

Health, peace, bliss, joy, happiness, creativity, realized dreams,  abundance, and love become the byproducts of everything we once resisted.

So when all Life’s problems begin to overwhelm and we ask ourself , “What the hell does it take to get out of this mess?”

The answer is and always has been YOU.

YOU.

Yes, YOU.

It is all YOU.

YOU have it all within you.

And it is greater than you have ever been led to believe.

Art(ists), Awareness, & Self Realization

“Life will always be throwing curve balls at us.

But we have a choice to make in those moments.

Do we allow those circumstances to be the thing that destroys us and causes us to crumble?

Or do we allow those circumstances to awaken us to bring a perseverance in us that we did not know we had?

To open the door to a determination to better who we are and then use that betterment towards helping the collective.

You see, the thing about awareness, it doesn’t allow room for lies.

It opens a transparency to see things the way they really are.

You don’t have to decipher circumstances because you understand, in their most pure form, what they are.

You’re not making stories to protect circumstances, but you are seeing it for what it is.

And you’re able to make choices based on that truth.

You see as artists, what we are not taught, is that we are indeed light workers.

We are able to see things that others are not able to see.

We are able to feel things that others are not willing to feel.

We are able to bring an awareness to people to help shift the consciousness towards a better tomorrow.

We have obligations to hold the light in the darkest of storms.

We have a duty to be strong in times of weakness.

We have to use our voices to be the thing that echoes to break the structure of what’s not working and that’s causing our own destruction.

We’re more than we are told we are and we have to start believing in our truth rather than what we are being told is the truth.

You know, when I was a little boy, I lived in this constant fear.

I was always in fright flight.

I was scared to death everyday without understanding why.

I lived in a space of unworthiness…unloveabilty.

I self doubted myself and always questioned my place in the world and questions people’s motive towards me.

And I will never forget, my mentors, when I was seventeen years old, would always say to me,’You have to start to trust yourself.’.

And I didn’t understand what that meant.

I thought they were just feeding me some doctrine from some self help book and I guess I was just trying to adopt it so I could fulfill their expectations.

But then something transformed in me.

Circumstances got really rough in my life and I started to awaken to who I truly am.

I started to remember where I came from.

I started to get in touch with a power in me that I never knew was there.

I started to realize I have the power to transform even the most heinous circumstances and use those circumstances to somehow better the world.

But first I had to better myself.

I had to be the example.

I still have to be the example.

You see, we are so lost in doctrine that we forget who we truly are.

We are so enrapt up in being told what is wrong with us that we lose the perfection that lives inside us.

We are taught that our imperfections are our flaws.

But what we are really not taught is that our imperfections are the stepping stones to our perfection.

They are the things that bring us into our blossoming.

They are the things that bring us into our transformation.

They are the things that make us wonderful!”

Art(ists), Support, & Alchemy…

This is the second video I published dedicated to artists of all genres.

Its main focus is on the ability of the artist to become his or her own support system especially in times when it is lacking personally and/or professionally.

This video also discusses how we have everything within us to be the alchemists of our own Life experience.

“We all have a similar story where we feel like we haven’t been supported in our endeavors.

My response to that is…

Normally when you don’t have the support of others it rarely has something to do with you.

It really has to do with another person’s viewpoint of what they think your trying to achieve or not achieve.

And very often that is a false perception.

However, support, of course it is important, but before you can get the support of anybody else, you have to get the support of yourself.

And really understanding that everything and EVERYTHING you want to realize in your life is in your own responsible hands.

You have to be accountable for that which you desire.

You have to be your own cheerleader.

You have to be your own teacher.

You have to be your own healer.

You have to be your own support system.

You have to be your own best friend.

And if any of those are lacking you have some serious work to do to see how you can fulfill those roles for yourself.

You know, I really believe that we have been given everything to achieve that which we desire.

And sometimes life gives us obstacles in order for us to realize our own power.

To realize that we are capable of taking the most heinous circumstances and transforming them into our blessing.

And transforming them from coal into a diamond.

You know, if I listened to everybody that told me what my outcome was going to be I’d be dead.

But I took everything I had in myself to really go in and understand what my demons were (and I am still doing it…it is a process).

But understanding what in me is allowing these obstacles to keep happening?

What in me is keeping me from understanding my full potential?

What in me is allowing the world to feel dark?

What in me is allowing the world to feel limited?

And once I started to allow myself to look at those circumstances that I am allowing to live in my head I started to be able to transform them.

Little by little.

That definitely comes with growing pains.

But throughout that whole process the thing that I have learned is that the more I depended on other people the more I gave my power away.

The more I thought the answer was out there the more I needed more answers.

The more I turned in the more I started realizing that everything and EVERTHING already resided within me.

I just needed the balls to trust myself.

I needed the courage to know that I am enough.

I needed the heart to understand that I am my own healer.

I needed the strength to look at myself in the mirror and say “Ya got some work to do!”.

And then have the will to actually do that work.

You see, we are taught that everything we need resides somewhere “out there”.

We are taught that somebody else has the answer.

We are taught that if you follow this book it is going to find the way for you.

We are taught that if you go to this doctor he is going to have the answer for you.

We are taught that if you go to this guru, or this mentor, or this person or that person, they are going to give you the answer to your life.

But what we are not told is that the answer we are looking for IS US!

We are our own mirror but we have to be willing to look in that mirror.

We are our own path but we have to be willing to walk our path.

We are our own salvation if we are willing to allow ourself to see that we truly do have the power to be our own salvation.

We are the very thing that either gets in the way of our desires or the very thing that sets us free to experience that which we desire.

And this isn’t some self help bullshit.

This is actually our birthright.

This is actually what we’ve been given.

No matter what the circumstances are, there is always a way if there is a will.

As long as you have accountability for yourself…

As long as you have responsibility for yourself…

As long as you have the courage to look at where you may need some transformation…

As long as you have the self love to want to change for the better…

You can achieve anything.

You are a creative being by the nature of how you were created.

So knowing that, as a creative being, you have the ability to create that which you desire.

You have the ability to create alchemy in your own life.

You have the ability to be a warrior of that which you want to experience for your best and highest good.

The only thing that stands in our way is our ego and what we are taught marrying themselves to say that we are not enough.

And the truth of the matter is we are more than enough.

We have always been more than enough.”
